The holiday home and the adjoining house were built in a traditional style, in harmony with the mill and the surrounding polder landscape. The design is inspired by the old cowshed and barn that once stood on the same spot.
Holiday Home: The Cottage
This luxurious, black-tiled holiday cottage is tastefully decorated in a warm, rural style – a perfect place to relax and unwind. It is located in a unique spot next to the Vrouwgeest windmill. From the living room, you can enjoy views of the mill on one side and the beautiful Vrouwgeest polder on the other, where cows and sheep graze in the summer. The cottage is surrounded by three spacious terraces.

The design was inspired by the old cowshed and barn that once stood in the same place. Authentic materials were used in the construction, including roof tiles from the former cowshed, old pine beams, and vintage bricks.
The Ground Floor
On the ground floor, you'll find a cosy double box bed (160 cm wide x 210 cm long) with a loft bed above (160 cm wide x 190 cm long), optionally suitable for 1 or 2 children. Please note: due to the sloping ceiling, space above the loft bed is limited. We don’t consider the loft bed a full-fledged sleeping place, but rather a fun extra for those who like it! All our beds are made with wool-filled duvets suitable for all seasons.
First Floor
Upstairs, there's a double bedroom. The box spring beds and mattresses are of high quality and 210 cm in length. Naturally, you’ll also find wool-filled four-season duvets here.

Prices Cottage Windmill
The prices for the cottage are as follows:
- Prices are based on four guests and include VAT (taxes).
- If you wish to stay with more people, please send a message via the form on the Contact page to inquire about availability and pricing.
- Reservations can be made for a minimum of 3 nights.
- In July and August, the minimum stay is 1 week.
- Arrival: From 3:30 PM
- Departure: Before 10:00 AM
- The price includes bed linen, duvet covers, kitchen towels, bath towels, and wireless internet (WiFi).
- Not included in the price are final cleaning costs (€75 one-time) and tourist tax (€2.50 per person per night).
- Tourist tax can be paid during your stay.
- During school holidays and national holidays, high season rates apply.
- Pets are not allowed, and smoking inside the cottage is strictly prohibited.
- Discounted rates are available for longer stays during the low season.
